Week Seventeen/Eighteen - Buffet Project

Reflection
The best moments of the buffet project were those when I was working with a teammate on a common task. Like when Aiden and I made the aspic platter together, and when Chasen and I decided the best way to set out the table, or when Aaron and I built the arch. And I loved the way class members were supportive and helpful all the way through. There was no spirit of competition, only of cooperation.
My recipes all came out good, though the bacon tartlets gave me a scare by getting so, so brown in the oven. I’m positive the practice tests of recipes I did at home helped with discovering a good preparation flow and also gave me confidence for the event.
If I were to do an event like this again, I would take more photos, both of the process and of the finished recipes. I would also increase the volume of food to put out. There were a lot of people in attendance.
